Itinerary

Experience an unforgettable week in the top of the South Island, combining wildlife encounters, immersive nature experiences, and guided adventure activities designed for all skill levels. This retreat blends adventure, nature, and personal connection with one of the most beautiful islands in the world.

Day 1 - Arrival in Christchurch

Welcome to the South Island! Arrive in Christchurch and settle into your accommodation. Meet your guide at airport pickup, where he'll bring you to Riverside Market for a welcome lunch before driving you to beautiful Akaroa for your first unique accommodation of the week ahead. Enjoy the stunning sunset views as we prepare for an incredible adventure.

Day 1

Day 2 - Banks Peninsula

Begin your journey with an early morning in Banks Peninsula. We'll start with an ocean kayaking session in Flea Bay (chance to see Hector's dolphins and little blue penguins!) followed by a tour and lunch of the picturesque town of Akaroa. After lunch, it is a slow evening back at your accommodation to relax and get ready for the big journey ahead. Enjoy one more night of New Zealand dark starred sky in a premium location.

Day 2

Day 3 - Kaikoura

Today we venture into Kaikoura, a beautiful coastal town where the mountains meet the sea and time seems stop. We get ready to meet the locals: sperm whales and the passing humpbacks. We will experience the magic of flying over these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. There are plenty of activities as well like fishing, sea kayaking with new zealand fur seals or cultural options to get you close to this one-of-a-kind corner of the world.

Day 3

Day 4 - Explore Kaikoura

Another full day on the water searching for humpback whales, dusky dolphins and other marine life. We'll explore different locations around Kaikoura, giving you multiple opportunities to meet up close with this marine creatures. relaxing evening to enjoy a nice dinner in town or at your private accommodation overlooking the breathtaking Kaikoura Ranges.

Day 4

Day 5 - Scenic journey to Marlborough Sounds

Time to move! But in this case travelling is worth it! Take the scenic train by the coast or a helicopter flight over the mountains for a magical trip to Marlborough Sounds. Good day for a wine tour in New Zealand's wine region. For the heli option, a lunch on top of the Southern Alps before flying to your secluded luxury accommodation in the Marlborough Sounds. Perfect day for relaxing and taking in the surroundings.

Day 5

Day 6 - Marlborough Sounds

Wake up in the beautiful Marlborough Sounds! There are plenty of activities to fill your day with excitement: Mountain biking , Hiking, Kayaking, Sailing... or simply relax with a good wine by the beach. We'll have all the materials ready for the activities you selected during the call with your guide so you can just get started as soon as you want.

Day 6

Day 7 - St. Arnaud (Nelson Lakes National Park)

Guided hike through Lake Rotoiti with our expert local mountain guide. Options for water taxi transfers. Dinner and Overnite stay at the Alpine Lodge. Perfect opportunity for star gazing.

Day 7

Day 8 - Abel Tasman National Park

Arrive at Abel Tasman National Park. Activities available or wine tour option if you want to relax. Overnight stay in premium accommodation at Abel Tasman.

Day 8

Day 9 - Private Yacht touring the Abel Tasman National Park

Sailing adventure day exploring Abel Tasman's hidden gems. Visit secluded beaches, snorkel in pristine locations, and enjoy the warm beauty of this unique corner of the South Island.

Day 9

Day 10 - Last day: Nelson

Final departure day. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast with last views of the turquoise waters. Transfer to Nelson (with possible stops on the way) and say goodbye to New Zealand from this charismatic town.
